Abstract
Inthisresearchreport,wepresentanewversionofITModelingLanguage(ITML).Itis
integratedwiththefamilyofDomain-SpecificModelingLanguages(DSMLs)thatarepart
ofMulti-PerspectiveEnterpriseModeling(MEMO).Thedesignofthelanguagefolloweda
provenmethod.Itprovidesforanalysingrequirementsbasedontheanalysisofpossibleuse
scenarios.TheITMLwasspecifiedwiththemetamodelinglanguageMEMOMML.Duetothe
considerablesizeofthemetamodel,itspresentationissplitintoseveralpartialmetamodels,
whicharedescribedatalevelofdetailthatisrequiredfortheimplementationofthelanguage
withinamodelingtool.Thepresentationofthemetamodelissupplementedbydiscussionsof
designconflictsandrelateddecisions.Inadditiontotheabstractsyntaxandsemantics,which
arerepresentedbythemetamodel,wealsoproposeaconcretesyntax,whichwasdesigned
withthesupportofagraphicdesigner.Finally,wealsoprovideashortdiscussionofprincipal
limitationsofconventionalmetamodelingaswellasanoutlookonourfutureresearch.
