Abstract
Die Bewertung von Informationsmodellen stellt ein besonders wichtiges Forschungsgebiet der Wirtschaftsinformatik dar. Aus der Perspektive einer empirisch orientierten Forschung stellt sich die Frage, ob Artefakte mit empirisch motivierten Bewertungskriterien bewertet werden können. Im vorliegenden Beitrag werden, ausgehend von theoretischen Überlegungen zur Informationsmodellierung als Entscheidungsproblem, in der Literatur diskutierte Ansätze zur Modellbewertung verglichen. Dabei werden die Ansätze sowohl auf einer Metaebene (ontologische und epistemologische Annahmen) als auch auf einer Objektebene (Bewertung der Informationsmodelle) miteinander verglichen.

The evaluation of information models is a particularly important research field in information systems engineering. The perspective of empirically oriented research poses the question of whether we can evaluate artefacts by means of empirically motivated evaluation criteria. There are a lot of different approaches to evaluating the quality of information models. The article deals with an epistemological and a decision theory-oriented approach to compare existing frameworks for evaluating information models. The Frameworks of Moody/Shanks, Krogstie et al. and the Guidelines of Modeling II are described and compared.
