Talk: Artificial Intelligence in Business Processes
Today, Ralf Plattfaut had the honor to speak at the Essen Science Summer on artificial intelligence in business processes. With an interested audience from the local community, we were able to discuss robotic process automation, machine learning and large language models in practice.
Key Take-Aways:
- “Artificial intelligence” is difficult to grasp - it is the “moving frontier”
- Many “artificial intelligence” solutions are not that new
- Generative AI and cognitive agents are pushing the frontier
- However, the frontier is “jagged” - some tasks can be done well, others less well by generative AI
- With suitable tasks, generative AI promises measurable productivity gains - for employees of all skill levels
