Successful Presentation of the UML-MX Modeling Tool
At the Models 2024 Educators' Symposium, Pierre Maier presented the UML modeling tool UML-MX developed at the chair, particularly with regard to its use in teaching.
The presentation, which is based on the paper “UML++: Enhancing Student Learning of Object-Oriented Modeling through Executable Objects”, co-authored with Tobias Schwarz, met with an extremely positive response. Models is the leading international conference in the field of modeling languages and tools.
UML-MX is based on the multi-level language architecture, which has been a central research topic of the chair for a long time. It allows the editing, instantiation and execution of object models in one tool. This provides students with a particularly motivating learning experience.
