Publication of a paper in the new anthology “Neue Algorithmen für praktische Probleme”
We are proud to announce that the article “Manipulierbare KI – Ein unüberwindbares Hindernis für die Sicherheit autonomer Fahrzeuge?“ (Manipulable AI - An insurmountable obstacle to the safety of autonomous vehicles?) was published in the book “Making Connected Mobility Work”.
Autonomous driving cars are considered one of the biggest upcoming developments for mobility and traffic of the future. Widespread deployment and use require a high level of reliability of the self-driving vehicles. Visual sensing and image recognition of autonomous vehicles are crucial to ensure safe traffic guidance. In their contribution, Marko Kureljusic, Erik Karger as well as Prof. Dr. Frederik Ahlemann address the safety risks that algorithmically constructed images pose to road traffic. Recommendations for action and technical possibilities to counteract the weaknesses of the image recognition systems of autonomous vehicles are also presented.
The anthology explores the overall topic "Making Connected Mobility Work". The contributions at the interfaces of business administration and engineering research provide a comprehensive insight into the mobility of the future and show ways in which companies can adapt to the advancing connectivity in mobility.
