Lecture “IT-Projektmanagement” to be held in blended learning format in 2015 summer term
Currently, the SITM chair is revising the teaching concept for its bachelor lecture “IT-Projektmanagement.” A new blended learning concept will improve the teaching and learning conditions for all the participants. In short, blended learning is a formal education program in which a student partially learns through online learning and partially in a supervised brick-and-mortar location away from home. The E-Learning elements will include texts, exercises, relevant literature, and video material like mini lectures and practitioner interviews. To strengthen and deepen the understanding of each project management concept, different, automated exercises (like multiple-choice questionnaires) will train each block. The self-learn phases alternate with sessions that require physical presence (Blockveranstaltungen), in which we will critically reflect on the concepts from a scientific point of view. In addition, discussions with practitioners will complement the sessions. We will also examine the possibility of introducing intermediate examinations (“Testate”) to assure optimal preparation for the face-to-face classroom sessions. Additionally, we plan to move from written examinations to digital exams (“E-Klausuren”). A specialized E-Learning service team and the Zentrum für Informations- und Mediendienste (ZIM) will support the SITM chair with the realization of this concept.
