Kick-off event of the Urban Innovation Forum at the Essen Science Summer
The 4th Essen Science Summer takes place from 01 - 24 June 2022.
This year, the theme is "Intelligent City". For this, a wide variety of events are gathered, which deal with the urban issues of the future. The program offers a diverse range of contributions, workshops, and seminars in the context of science.
In this context, the Joint Centre Urban Systems of the University of Duisburg-Essen starts with its upcoming event series, the "Urban Innovation Forum". The kick-off event is entitled Urban Future: People - Competencies - Collaborations.
For the kick-off on June 17, 2022, the focus will be on people and their abilities. People shape the character and life of a city. Their competencies are the most important resources to drive the transformation of cities. The goal is to explore the questions of what urban design looks like, what competencies we needed and what, how the collaboration of diverse stakeholders can succeed - and what a "collaborative city" is.
Interested parties are cordially invited to participate in the event. Participation is free of charge. An informal registration is possible via an e-mail to urban-systems@uni-due.de.
