On June 12, 2019, 6 employees of the SITM chair took part in the 9th Essen company run. Over a distance about 5 km all participant were cheered on by many spectators as well as chair employees, who provided extra motivation.

All runners happily reached the finish line and had a good time in the Grugapark. Members of the running and cheering team were Anne-Marie Mölders, Helge Schmermbeck, Marvin Strauß, Laurenz Brendenfeld, Phil Gonserkewitz, Tim Bree, with cheering support of Elena Paparidis und Stefan Decker.
