Successful book “IT Management in the Digital Age” translated and published in English
The very successful book “IT Management in the Digital Age,” previously only available in German, is now available in English, which makes it more accessible to a broader international audience. The book is authored by Prof. Dr. Nils Urbach and Prof. Dr. Frederik Ahlemann. This book examines the massive changes currently taking place in the business world and commonly known as “digitalization.” In addition, it describes the significant impacts of technological innovations on processes, products, services, and business models. Further, describes how information technology enables innovation for businesses, and how IT departments can proactively and in a timely manner collaborate with their corporation’s business departments to leverage these innovations. The book also delineates the implications of digitalization for the structures, processes, and people in current IT departments. In addition, the book offers IT leaders and managers responsible for corporate IT, as well as practice-oriented researchers, valuable inspiration and guidance, the central mission of which is to encourage and enable IT to take a more proactive role in the digital transformation processes.
