On September 11, 2014, Dr. Andreas Drechsler of SITM delivered the keynote address at this year’s “Expertentagung COMPACT Focus > Agiles Projektmanagement” (COMPACT focus expert conference on agile project management). His presentation was titled “Agilität 2. Ordnung – der Einsatz agiler Methoden als ein erster Schritt zu einer agilen und fortwährenden Weiterentwicklung des Projektmanagements” (Second-Order Agility – Using Agile Methods as a First Step Toward an Agile and Continuous Improvement of Project Management). The “Expertentagung” (experts conference) is a yearly meeting of project management experts from practice to discuss current matters regarding project management practice. This year’s topic was agile project management in and beyond IT projects. The conference took place in Frankfurt and was organized by the “Institut für Prozess- und Projektmanagement”, Wiesbaden.
