Elnaz Mohammadi is a master’s student in Business Informatics at the University of Duisburg-Essen with an interdisciplinary background in communication systems, information technology, and digital transformation. Building on her previous M.Sc. in Information and Communication Technology (ICT), her academic interests lie at the intersection of Business Informatics, artificial intelligence, digital innovation, and sustainable technology development.
Her academic path includes a bachelor’s degree in information technology (IT) followed by an M.Sc. in ICT, providing her with a strong foundation in both technical and socio-technical perspectives on digital systems.
Alongside her studies, she has gained experience in IT management, system integration, network planning, database systems, web development, and teaching. Her academic and professional background reflects a sustained interest in the responsible and effective use of technology to support innovation and digital transformation.
Her earlier research focused on cellular communication systems, signal processing, and network optimization, including phase noise estimation, CDMA cell planning, and optimization techniques using genetic algorithms and particle swarm optimization. Building on this foundation, her current work increasingly emphasizes interdisciplinary and data-driven approaches to digital transformation and sustainable technology development.
She is currently involved in the SMART GUIDE project, which aims to accelerate entrepreneurial activities at the University of Duisburg-Essen through automation and AI-supported processes. The project supports startup teams from idea generation to market entry and fosters collaboration within the university’s innovation ecosystem.
