Some time ago, Ulrich Frank compiled a list of recommended reading for students. He wanted to encourage them to embark on the initially arduous but ultimately extremely rewarding journey of discovery that good literature opens up. The list includes scientific literature and fiction as well. While most of the recommended work is written in English, the comments that supplement the recommendations are in German only.
